#13 New Mexico Military Institute
Keeping NMMI off of the podium in November seems unlikely as they return everyone from their 3rd place team finish from this spring. Senior Lance Miller is the defacto #1 runner among 3A boys heading into this season after a runner-up performance. Also expected to return for their senior seasons are Caleb Eisenhower (13th), Allen Varela (19th), and Joshua Leible (33rd). Manuel Meza Garcia would be the youngest of the scoring five coming off a 38th place finish in March. At the moment they are making a pretty good case to consider them as possible 3A state champs come November but first, they would have to overcome some quality teams including a pair that bested them. They will hope to benefit from graduations while they have gained another off-season as a unit. More than just past seasons state competitors will be out seeking to return to former glory as NMMI will just attempt to keep their momentum they can only go up from here.
