Albuquerque Academy Preview
The Chargers were seven points shy of a 4-peat that would have put them at a phenomenal 15 state championships in the past twenty years. Justin Hickey returns off a 6th place performance in 2018 as well coming off a stellar track season that saw personal bests in the 1600m (4:30) and 3200m (9:32). A season ago it was Los Alamos that was left hoisting the blue trophy but this rivalry will resume this season with Academy holding all the cards. competition will be tight but the red army returns to dominance in 2019 in hopes of bringing yet another state title home.
