Piedra Vista Preview
The 6th place Panthers from a season ago will be looking to make a huge leap this year after returning a solid group of runners. With the departure of the graduating class of 2019 impacting just about every other team within 5A boys but Piedra Vista. Led by senior, Triston Charles coming off a 5th place performance at state continued to finish 4th at Nike Cross Southwest Region. This Panther squad has been together for some time now and has more experience than practically any other team in the state. Although no easy task to knock off the prestige of Rio Rancho or even Sue Cleveland, Less than 20 points determined teams placed 3rd through 6th within 5A. Expect a veteran bunch in Piedra Vista to contend for what could be their first State title in cross country.
