New Mexico Future Stars: Sophie Bair

In this week's edition of New Mexico Future Stars, we'll be looking at the recent standout sophomore performances. 

New Mexico, if you haven't already, meet Sophie Bair!

The sophomore from Santa Fe Prep recently placed third at theLiberty Bell Cross Country Invitational with a time of 19:03.70 in her first race of the season. This time is not only a new personal best, but over a minute faster than she ran last cross country season. 

Not only is Bair currently No. 1 in the sophomore class, but she's No. 1 in the entire state of New Mexico - by over thirty seconds. 

She finished 7th at the 2022 New Mexico State Cross Country Championships as a freshman last fall. 

It's safe to say that Bair is someone to keep your eye on this season!
