Alright here's the first look at the top rankings for the state of New Mexico after the first full week of outdoors. The state is still missing some key distance runners in the rankings after not having a race the first week of the season, but the sprints is looking strong to kick off the year.
Kaselle Davis (Las Cruces HS) took the Gadsden Invitational by storm and came away with a 1st place in the 100m, 200m, and high jump. All of her marks at the meet were good to land her the #1 state seed in the events to close out the first week of outdoors.
We can't forget Analeigh Cruz (Silver HS), who at the Gadsden Invitational competed in four events (100m, 200m, 400m, and long jump) and podiumed in all of them. The sophomore cracked the first five spots across the state in each event mentioned after just one week of outdoors.
Check out the remainder of the fields in the next pages. Note that not all events had one hundred participants in the first week of the season.
