When did you first start competing in track and field, and do you recall any of your childhood competitions?
I first started when I was about 6 and I haven't got any memory's I'm too fond of
Was there a certain moment when you realized you'd be able to compete at such a high level?
When I and my team took second by surprise in the 2019 state xc championships.
What are some bumps in the road that you've encountered when it comes to training for different events during the season?
Running without my teammates was by far the hardest part.
How did COVID impact your training as you prepared for the season?
It has almost had a positive impact I was able to sit back and focus on the weaker parts of myself. I was able to take a major leap in my times.
If you had to pick: Track and Field or Cross Country, and why?
Cross Country because it's better to win as a team than as an individual.
How is the college recruiting process going, and what schools are you looking at?
I've been talking to a couple schools nothing too serious though.
Where are you going to college? If you have already committed, what made you choose them?
I haven't decided yet.
Is there another track event you wish you were good at? What is appealing about it?
I wish I was better at the 800 because it's a fun event.
What are some hobbies and interests you have outside of running?
I like Mountain biking, fishing and hikes with friends.
Who is your role model, and why?
For me it's my cousins (AJ and Aric) who run for the Air Force Academy.
Everyone has a bucket list, so give us some of the things on your list!
A real preseason for cross country.
What is the best advice you have received?
Don't compare your success to the success of others, just be better than you were yesterday.
What is your favorite pre-race snack, tradition, etc.?
Nature Valley Granola bars.
If you could do a sport other than XC/Track, what sport would it be, and why?
If I had the time I would definitely play basketball.
