Cebastian Marquez
A program veteran among Rio Rancho, Cebastian Marquez has progressed to be one of the staples of the distance boys. Marquez found his best cross country season this past spring with winning a district 1-5A meet before a 5th place finish at the 5A State Cross Country Championships. This track season he has emerged as a contender in the 3200m with his first sub 10:00 performance coming in early May at the Cleveland Invite. Find out Cebastian's interests, motivations and what the future holds for the Rio Rancho Ram senior in our Getting To Know Series.

Motivation was probably one, throughout COVID there have been times when I felt I wasn't gonna be able to do it, but my team, coach, and family kept me going.
How did COVID impact your training as you prepared for the season?
Covid only effected my motivation, other than that I just continued to train with my team throughout the pandemic.
If you had to pick: Track and Field or Cross Country, and why?
