Hurdles 

The star of the show was Cleveland's Hanna Kiess debuting in the 100m hurdles after coming off a 33rd place performance on the cross country course. Kiess proved why she was the 3rd place finisher at the 2019 5A state 100m championships as she shot out the gate and despite being neck and neck for the better half of the race, showed her form to more fluent in the final hurdles out leaning Hilltoppers Jalyn Gould and Angelina Passalacqua to win in 17.52. In the 300m hurdles, Kiess once again ran a great early season race to win in 47.49 as Passalacqua would take the 2nd place finish and Taylor Caperton would finish 3rd in a time of 50.77. 


Boys 110m hurdles Heat #2

The boys' hurdles would be the Anthony Heavyrunner show as he captured victories in the 110m and 300m hurdles in ease on his home track. Heavyrunner's 16.44 in the 110m hurdles besting Academy's Max Chandler (17.56) and Kane Demers (19.14). The 300m hurdles would be Heavyrunner (42.06) pulling away from a trio of Storm hurdlers with Evan Wysong (44.62), Devonte Shendo (46.42), and William Wallace (49.42).
