The New Mexico Cross Country Countdown breaks down the top 25 boys and girls teams returning this fall. These rankings will include projected top runners and weighing how each team may do in their respective districts and state competitions. Changes to class alignments and adaptions to state championship format have been taken into consideration.
The Tigers come into the 2020 season having moved up in classification in just the right moment to ensure they return to the state meet. A year ago Los Lunas finished 10th among 4A girls in a division which rarely sees any team other than Albuquerque Academy or Los Alamos hoisting the blue trophy.
