Albuquerque Academy, Eldorado take home team titles in the first meet of the season.
Perfect weather on Saturday, gave way to a New year, new team, new found hope in a promising season. Albuquerque Academy proves they are in top form early on as they muscled there way to the front of the pack and never let up. Justin Hickey took charge of the race clocking in a 15:49 on the last day of August. A cross state visit from El Paso Americas kept things interesting by taking up a second place finish. Looking at a few things to watch in the weeks to come from this race, the first being a surprise performance by Hope Christian that ran to a 4th place finish. The Huskies being second place among 4A schools at this meet and having run a Cade Martin on JV who soloed to a 16:34.
