ALBUQUERQUE- The 2026 Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Invitational indoor track meet at the Albuquerque Convention Center Jan. 29 gave track fans a little taste of what's to come this track season.
Albuquerque Bulldog sprinter Anayiah Garza is officially on breakout watch as she dominated the 60m dash with a blazing time of 7.89.
Cleveland's Morgan James crushed the 60m hurdles en route to a 9.04 finish, .94 seconds faster than second place.
Albuquerque Academy's Grace Erinle took first place in the triple jump and long jump, just further cementing herself as a blue chip talent in the state.
Another Charger having a great day was pole vaulter Holly Andrews who won with a mark of eight feet and 11 inches.
