Team Title Preview

The 2025 NMAA A-2A District Championships on October 31 delivered strong performances across the board, with Pecos High School emerging as the clear team champion. Senior standout Brandyn Encinias led the team, and the Panthers placed all five scoring runners inside the Top 15 to post a commanding team victory. Teammates Carlos Ragland (3rd) and Thomas Garcia (5th) added key low scores, sealing Pecos's dominance in the district.

Laguna-Acoma High School secured the runner-up spot paced by Tagoya Pedro's 4th-place finish and a solid top three that kept them comfortably ahead of the rest of the field. In third, Rehoboth Christian High School rounded out the podium led by Jonah Jones (9th) and consistent scoring through their top five.

Overall, the meet showcased the growing depth in the 2A ranks, but Pecos HS has successfully set itself apart as the heavy favorite heading into the state championship.
