Athletes

Le'Jamarree Mackey (Houston MS): The class of 2030 state leader for the 100m dash and the triple jump. Mackey has one race stretching 100m to his name, but his 11.55 seconds were enough to best the previous state lead. He is currently undefeated in the triple jump.

Jordynn Boswell (Gateway Christian): The leader in the high jump for the class of 2030. Also a New Mexico Top 3 performer in the triple jump and 100m hurdles. Boswell has a quick 51.30 registered for the 300m hurdles as well, good enough for her to lead her grade in this event.

Sam Armenta (Hermosa MS): Just stellar. Armenta has taken New Mexico by storm and is arguably one of the best, if not the best, middle school athlete in the state right now. The eighth graders' range stretches from 100m to 800m, and he has also had success in both the triple jump and high jump. He leads his class in the 200m, 400m, and 800m distances.

DJ Padilla (Grady MS): Great start to the year for Padilla. He currently leads the state in the long jump and is the only athlete this season to have leapt over 19-00.0 for this event. The eighth grader also has notable performances in both the 100m dash and high jump, with a shared #1 statewide class ranking in the high jump with middle school teammate Deagan Mote.

Dakota Krakow (Mesa View MS): An athlete with incredible range. Krakow has taken part in the 200m dash up to the 1600m run this outdoor season. She is also undefeated in both pole vault and long jump. She doesn't currently hold any state leads but is one of New Mexico's most versatile athletes heading into ninth grade.

Croix Lee (Silver): Absolutely brilliant in the field events. Lee is at the helm of the class of 2030 for the javelin, shot put, and pole vault. Lee has a showing in the 800m as well, not her strongest event, but a clear reflection of the ability to adapt to different event environments. She's the only female eighth grader in New Mexico to have tossed over 100-00.0 in the javelin and over 30-00.0 in the shot put.

Reagan Barba (Belen MS):  Currently leading the state for the class of 2030 in the 100m hurdles. She's a strong competitor in the 100m dash as well. To date, Barba is undefeated in both 100m hurdles and 300m hurdles. Her 13.21 in the 100m places her in the #2 seed for the class of 2030.
