Which Speedsters will take over 2021?
The first sub-11-second performance of the year comes in the way of Senior Luke Wysong of Cleveland notching a 10.93 at the Rio Rancho Rust Buster this past weekend. The next sprinter that could rival Wysong is Rio Rancho's Elijah Figueroa who went for an 11.20/ 22.43 to make him the #1 200m sprinter in the state. The top 400m marks was set by Farmington's Broden Cahoon who has traditionally been an 800m guy but found a new personal best with his 51.32.
Hurdles standouts include the #1 110m hurdler thus far with Rio Rancho's Anthony Heavyrunner with a 16.44 as Onate's Emiliano Carranza is nearby in second. 300m hurdles have Gabe Kotter of Artesia as the top guy with a 40.50 with Heavyrunner and Carranza behind him.
