The Breakout Performances At The Great Southwest Indoor Classic

1. Arria Minor, Denver East (Co.), sophomore

While Minor didn't set fire to any of her previous bests in the 60m or 200m -- she had owned the US #1 times in each event -- that didn't mean she was nonexistent at Great Southwest. Oh the contrary. in fact, Minor might go down as the MVP of the event, earning wins in the 60m and 200m in times that were oh-so-close to beating previous PRs. She ran 7.50 seconds in the 60m, which would be good for US #10, and then followed with 24.02 seconds in the 200m, which was the second fastest time in the nation...outside her own best of 23.85 seconds.
