We could start here by stating the obvious--Los Alamos probably deserves to be ranked as the 5A girls favorite going into the season, but it's still probably worth taking a look at what the various analyses tell us.

The first analytical step is to take a look at what a ranking of returning runners from last fall's cross country season shows us. We examine only 5K course times from last fall and score the rankings in the manner conventional to cross country. Your top dozen teams are as follows:
