With all of the reshuffling of classifications from last year, 3A girls this year doesn't look quite exactly like 2A girls last year, but there is a strong resemblance. Schools like Zuni and East Mountain are gone, and schools like Desert Academy have taken their place.

Regardless, there's ample data on the cross country side of things to do some reasonable beginning-of-season projections, but these teams were very thin at 1600 and 3200 meters in track and field (even taking the "scoring" down to three runners per school). 

The inescapable conclusion here is that ATC is your preseason favorite for the 3A girls cross country title. Alizabeth Williams, Jordan Enright, and Julianna Tibbetts form a solid core who have been working on distance around the calendar. No other school in the classification can match that.
