This week-in-review report features two meets from Texas, at least until I'm able to find some results out of the meets that ran in New Mexico this past weekend. If those results arrive, I will go ahead and append a summary for each meet to this article.
While many of the Las Cruces area schools were at Rodolfo Alvarez on Saturday, Las Cruces itself, Chaparrel, Centennial, and Gadsden were running at El Paso Irvin's meet. Among the girls, Irene Fernald of Las Cruces took top New Mexico honors, finishing fourth in 20:00 and followed closely by teammate Sydney Salas at 20:12. Las Cruces, however, came up one short of the requisite five for team scoring and so had to content themselves with two very nice individual finishes.
