It would seem that Piedra Vista is not the only rising power in northwest New Mexico. If you direct your attention a little south of Farmington to Gallup, you'll find that there's a very good team arising at Miyamura High School as well. 

Before taking a look at the team that's coming along at Miyamura, it's worth noting that the school colors of purple and silver are borrowed for the Purple Heart medal, and the school is named after local Korean War hero Hiroshi Miyamura. Miyamura was awarded a Purple Heart and Medal of Honor for his service during the Korean War, but his status of having earned the award was kept secret while he was held as a prisoner of war by the North Koreans for 28 months.
