There's good news for the future of New Mexico track and field in what follows. And there is bad news--or at least there is bad news for 1A schools hoping to close the gap on Fort Sumner.
For La Cueva, Cleveland, and Eldorado, there are clearly a few years of entertaining track and field on the horizon.
Listed below are the top freshman outdoor performances for 2013. Known wind-aided marks have been eliminated, but in most cases that means simply taking a slightly lesser mark for the individuals in question.
