Ruidoso Middle School Track Meet

Ruidoso High School Track
Scratch Meeting: 1:30 pm in the RHS Auxiliary Gym by the track
Entries: MileSplit will be used for entries. Entries need to be completed by Monday, April 6th at 12:00 p.m. Athletes may enter four (4) events, but not more than three (3) may be running or field events. No more
than three (3) of these may be running events, including relays. No more than two running events may be 400 meters or more.
Please limit entries to four (4) per individual event and one (1) relay team.
There will be basic concessions - drinks, popsicles, pickles, etc.
Spectator entrance fee: $6 (more info will be sent out before meet day)
Field Events: All long jump and triple jump participants will be allowed three (3) jumps and there will be no finals.
All high jump participants will be allowed three (3) jumps at each height attempt. Starting heights are as follows:
Girls: 310 2 thereafter Boys: 44 2 thereafter
All shot put and discus participants will be allowed three (3) throws. There will also be scratch marks for throws..
Running Events: In the event that field events are not complete by the start of the running events, running events will take precedence over field events. Please have your athlete check in the event judge when a running event conflicts with a field event. Have your athlete report back to the field event as soon as possible after completing their running event.
Takeoff marks for relays should be marked with a tennis ball and not scratched into the track.
Scoring: Individual: 7-5-4-3-2-1
Relays: 10-8-6-4-2-1
Coaches: We hope to have all events covered, however, if coaches would be willing to assist any of our volunteers, please do so. Also, we ask that a coach from each school help with monitoring the exchange zones.
