New Mexico Girls Performer of the Week (Oct. 27-Nov. 2)

This week of the 2025 cross country season produced some amazing performances for New Mexico's athletes. Let's go over our top performers from this weekend and vote on New Mexico's best performances.

CANDIDATES

Ashley Galaz (Organ Mountain HS)- Yet another win over the 5K distance this season for the freshman. Took the win at the NMAA 5A District 3 meet this weekend and led her team to victory. Galaz put exactly one minute between her and the rest of the field during her weekend performance. This was her fourth individual win of the season.

Trista Chavez (Jemez Valley HS)- Runner-up at the NMAA A-2A District 5 meet this weekend and was her school's only representative. The sophomore secured her second runner-up finish at a major meet and obtained a brand new P.R over the 3-mile distance.

Olivia Marquez (Oak Grove Classical Academy)- The sophomore clocked 18:11.45 over the 3-mile distance at the NMAA A-2A District 5 meet this weekend. Marquez was the only sub-19-minute performer of the field and led her team to victory at the meet. Saturday marked a new P.R over 3 miles and her second individual win of the season.
