Just like the past two weeks, here's our Most Improved girls standings for New Mexico. Let's see if we have any similarities to last week's Most Improved chart.
Biggest improvement over the four years goes to Cyara Coriz (Volcano Vista HS). From a near 3-minute half mile down to mid 2:30's, Coriz has taken off fifteen seconds from her freshman year best. The senior ran her P.R rather recently and might just have enough time left in the season to aim at cracking 2:30 for the 800m run.
Another notable mention is Caryasa Marquez (Volcano Vista HS). The quickest 800m time on the chart, Marquez started as a 2:30 runner her freshman year and is just a second and a half away from dipping under the 2:20 mark. She's only ran the 800m once this year and is as of now, unbeaten across this outdoor season in all her events.
