The spring of 2021 marked the start of high school track for many young stars. That same spring season, many athletes took their first steps on the oval. Fast forward to the 2025 season, and we have a look at how much these athletes have improved from their freshman campaign to their senior year.

Jeremiah R Martinez (Penasco HS) is the most improved in the state of New Mexico over the 3200m distance with a near 3-minute difference from freshman to senior year. His improvement has been quite noticeable as the years go by.

In the 25th spot we have Corbin Coombs (Organ Mountain HS), and although it reflects only a thirty-four second improvement from 9th to 12th grade, Coombs has dipped to well under 8:50 for the event during his indoor season earlier this year.
