George Love Relays

George Love Relays was headlined by a great multi-event performance from Portales' Traise Cain who jumped for 6-2 on high jump before clearing 13-6 on pole vault and then dashing to a 15.54 110m hurdles race. Clovis' Jerrick Maldonado ran away with the new state lead in the 800m with a 1:57.37 and then won the 1600m with a 4:51.22. Kiara Cox won the high jump with a 5-0 jump before winning the 200m race in 28.02. Camryn Baros won the pole vault on the girls side with a vault of 10-9 to hold on to the state lead.  

Los Alamos Invitational 

The biggest meet of the weekend included a 100m/200m double victory for James Jenkins of Hope Christian (11.13, 22.55) as well as a jump of 6-2 to put him in a three-way tie for the lead in high jump. Hilltopper Max Berndt won the discus and shot put on his home track (127-01, 46-7). On the girls' side, Academy for Tech and the Classics' Josette Gurule
