2019 NMAA 5A Girls 100 Finals Section 1
The senior season for one of the most decorated talents to come out of the state of New Mexico, Adriana Tatum can only add to what I'd expect to be a very crowded trophy case. Tatum is #1 but there is plenty of talent among girls 5A with state 100m runner-up Justyse Martin of Alamogordo along with Mikyla Harkley of Clovis should she choose to tackle sprinting duties to go with her jumping dominance. The 400m will see Volcano Vista's Aryanna Gomez face off against La Cueva's Erica Ihlein in what should make for a good showdown. Eldorado's Taylor Rittman is a mystery but boasts great times from her limited varsity action in 2019. Sandia's Savanna Lawson the state runner-up from 2019 will be challenged by Sue Cleveland's Hannah Kiess and Piedra Vista's Bailey Rasmussen for the 100m hurdle title. Kiess who is the state runner-up in the 300m hurdles boasts the top time but should Lawson choose to double her hurdling duties she could play spoile...
