Leading the junior ranks is Cloudcroft's Max Preslar and Alamogordo's Celso Garcia who both finished their 2019 campaign with a 3rd place individual state finish. Preslar, Garcia, and Rio Rancho's Dawson Gunn make up the trio of sub 16-minute guys going into their junior seasons. With Clovis' Jerrick Maldonado being the highest returner from 5A, along with Garcia, expect Tyler Nord, and Aiden Davis to be in contention for the individual title. 4A should be no surprise to see Los Alamos and Academy clashing each with their handful of juniors like Wakei Hettinga, Keith Bridge, Joaquin Deprez, Owen Dudley while Miyamura's Tayan Benson will do his part to disrupt the red and green affair. 3A may have lost Deshawn Goodwin to graduation but there could be a new man crossing the finish line first with a Zuni uniform and his name is Kameron Eustace.
