- The Albuquerque Metro Championships taking place after the Richard Harper Memorial is a smaller centralized meet hosting all metro area schools for a chance to take home a shiny blue trophy and blue t-shirt for claiming best in the city. This meet also brings elevated competition and high marks with plenty of state contenders present. Today we look back at the top performances from the APS Metro Championships.
It should come as no surprise to see familiar faces like Alejandro Goldston and Jordan Byrd at the top of the sprints but La Cueva's Connor O'Toole showed off his speed when he won the 100m last year to land a #3 mark at this meet. In the 200m Volcano Vista takes the top 3 spots with Goldston, Abram Schaap and most recently Blaine Grant all going sub 22 seconds.
