If, like me, you figured that NXR-SW and FLW pretty much ended the New Mexico high school cross country season for 2013, you would have been wrong about that. New Mexico, had some very nice showings yesterday in San Antonio at the USATF National Junior Olympics meet.

Rio Rancho's Devin Paredes had a very nice third-place finish in the 13-14 boys 4000 meter race, finishing the course in 13:08. He and his Cougar Track Club teammates would roll to a second-place team finish in the boys 13-14 division.

Aaron Valenzuela's 20th in the 15-16 division would lead an 11th-place finish for the Cougar Track Club in that division.

For the Cougar girls, a third-place finish was in store in the 13-14 division, and a 7th in the 15-16 group. Hannah Gunther led the 15-16s with a 19:53 in 19th place.
