It is very definitely showdown time in 3A girls. Run this race 100 times, and you'd probably see Shiprock win about 30 times, Taos win about 30 times, Sandia Prep win about 30 times, and all the others together win about 10 times. This has all the makings of a great team race.

Shiprock comes to Rio Rancho seeking to defend their state title from last year. Cassandra Peters and Lacey Howe, both of whom have visited the land of sub-20 this fall, will be leading the Chieftain charge.

Taos has the deepest roster of the contenders and their scoring order has proven to be highly interchangeable (sometimes that's a good thing, and sometimes that's a gotcha) this fall, but look for the big contributions to be coming from Haley Rach, Cora Cannedy, Hannah Gunther, Lucia Constanza, and Elizabeth Reyes.
