Things will be a little different for the 1A set this year. Instead of leading off the races, the 1A teams and individuals will be batting clean-up. Well, technically, that's not correct, either. Clean-up would be fourth in the order, but 1A will be batting fifth--after 2A, 3A, 4A, and 5A have each had their turns.
Both of last year's individual winners are back for another go at it, but neither Trevor Armijo nor Valene Madalena figures to enjoy clear sailing to another individual title.
Armijo faces the stiffest kind of competition in his bid to repeat in the form of Jacob Subratie and Henry Sime of Cimarron, Geronimo and Owen Apache of Alamo Navajo, and Tristan Platero of To'Hajiilee.
