16th Annual Mike Tooley Invitational

Tiger Stadium (1801 N Pershing St)

9:00a - 9:30a Weigh Ins (In Track Shed, East side of stadium, behind visitor bleachers)

9:30a - Coaches/Scratch Meeting (No Write Ins)

Entries: You may enter 4 athletes per event. One relay group per team for each relay. Registration must be completed on https://nm.milesplit.com/ .

Field Events: All throwing events, long & triple jump will have 4 attempts with no finals. The best of the 4 attempts will be taken for placing. Pole Vault & High Jump will begin at an opening height that will be determined at the coaches meeting. Athletes will be permitted 3 attempts per height until 3 misses at a height which will result in elimination. While your athlete is in a field event, if they need to compete in a running event, they must check out with the event official. They will have 10 minutes following the completion of the event to check back in. After that time the event officials will call their name and they have one minute from then to report or be scratched. Field events will be given one hour to complete all attempts from the time they start. Event officials have discretion to combine boys and girls. 

Running Events: All running Events will be timed finals. 

  • NMAA and National Federation rules will apply

  • All athletes need to be in compliance with uniform and jewelry rules

  • Short spikes (1/4") or less are required

  • Tennis balls, rubber throw downs, or tape may to mark track/runways only

  • Blocks will be provided Top 3 individuals in each event will receive medals

  • Scoring Format: Individual events are scored: 7-5-4-3-2-1; relays scored 10-8-6-4-2-1

  • Entry Format: 4 Entries per team per event , 1 relay per event, per team. All relay participants must be listed. *A contestant may participate in a maximum of five events per meet but no more than four may be track events, and no more than four may be field events. Further, no more than three of the four track events allowed can be 400 meters or longer, which includes participation in relays.

  • Field Events: 4 entries per team, 3 Throws, NO scratch lines (TOP 6 make Finals, three additional attempts)

  • Throwing events (Shot Put, Discus, and Javelin)

  • Weigh-ins: Will be held at the track All equipment must be marked before they can be thrown in competition. Any equipment not making weigh-ins will be confiscated and may be picked up after the completion of the event *High Jump allowed 4 Entries per team
