Meet Information
District 3-5A Meet Saturday May 10, 2025 @ 9:00am
The District 3-5A Meet is a State Qualifying Track Meet for Varsity Boys and Girls teams only. Field events and running events will begin promptly according to the schedule provided. All running events are finals only. Athletes must check in with the clerk at the designated site. All entries are due on MileSplit by Thursday May 8th at 10:00pm.
*THERE WILL BE NO LATE ENTRIES OR REPLACEMENTS
- NMAA and National Federation rules will apply
- All athletes need to be in compliance with uniform and jewelry rules
- Short spikes (1/4") or less are required
- Tennis balls, rubber throw downs, or tape may to mark track/runways only
- Blocks will be provided
- Top 3 individuals in each event will receive medals
Scoring Format: Individual events are scored: 7-5-4-3-2-1; relays scored 10-8-6-4-2-1
Entry Format:4 Entries per team per event, 1 relay per event, per team. ALL RELAY PARTICIPANTS MUST BE LISTED.
*A contestant may participate in a maximum of five events per meet but no more than four may be track events, and no more than four may be field events. Further, no more than three of the four track events allowed can be 400 meters or longer, which includes participation in relays.
Coaches Meeting: Coaches meeting will be in the Panther Gym at 8:15am. Coaches will not be allowed to add or replace an athlete the day of the meet. Hospitality will be provided for lunch.
Track Event Check In: At the site of competition. Athletes must check-in and check-out with officials and have 10 minutes to return to their field or jumping event after competing in their running event. In the situation where confliction of events occurs with the entries of an athlete, running events will take precedence over field events. Every reasonable attempt will be made to allow athletes to be able to participate, however running events will run on time, no delays.
Weigh-ins: Will be held on the North side of the stadium between the track and softball field. All equipment must be marked before they can be thrown in competition. Any equipment not making weigh-ins will be confiscated and may be picked up after the completion of the event. *8:00am
Throwing Events:4 Entries per team, 3 Throws, (TOP 7 make Finals, three additional attempts). Throwing events are located past the North side of the stadium on the soccer fields. All implements must be marked before they can be thrown in competition.
Jumping Events:4 Entries per team, 3 Jumps (TOP 7 make Finals, three additional attempts). Long jump, triple jump, and pole vault are located on the North side of the stadium. High jump is located on the South side of the stadium
Access to Running and Jumping Event: Only athletes, coaches, & timers will be permitted inside the turf field. DO NOT JUMP FENCE OR RAILINGS, possible disqualification may result. All parents & spectators must remain in the stands. Violators will be escorted off the competition field & possible disqualifications may result.
Tents: Teams may set up on the West or East stadiums. Tents must not obstruct the view from the press box, starting, or finish line. Only athletes warming up on the field are allowed, no camping or possible disqualification after a warning has been made. Keep the bleacher area clean.
Results: Meet Results will be posted via New Mexico MileSplit. NM Live Results during the meet. The first two (2) places in individual events and the first and second place teams in each relay event advance to the state championships. Only two runners can qualify to state by place. In addition, any individuals or relay teams that meet the special qualifying times, heights, or distances set by the NMAA are eligible to be entered.
*Second-place ties in jumping events are broken using the procedure outlined in Rule 6.3.2B of the NFHS Track and Field Rule Book. Only two jumpers may qualify by place.
*All state meet qualifiers must be submitted by 11:59 PM on Sunday.
