LOCATION-Lovington High School

Coachs information

The course is a 3-mile course and is composed of 2 laps.

The start is on the north end of the Football field.

The finish is on the track. Athletes after completing their 2nd lap will enter the track and run counter-clockwise around the track for approximately 350 meters.

UPON FINISHING A RACE.

1. Athletes will receive a place card. Your athlete must give it to you and you put their finish place on your teams labels. Turn in both the place cards and labels to the scoring table. (A.S.A.P.)

2. Athletes finishing in the top 10 of each race will receive their finishers medals at the finish line.

3. As soon as the runners finish they are to exit the infield.

AFTER EACH RACE please help with keeping the course clear during all of the races!!

JV RACES!! Coaches please be aware that these races are scheduled for 10 and 10:30 but they may be combined or start 5 minutes apart depending on the number of athletes.

Coaches Meeting- We will have a short coaches meeting on the 50-yard line at 8:15 A.M. to go over anything needed and to answer any questions.

Please send me the number of Athletes on your team so we can make sure you have enough labels for each runner.

If you have been to our meet in the last couple of years the course is basically the same with this exception. The start has changed to the north goal line on the football field, once the runners exit the stadium they will be running counterclockwise.
