Therman Jordan Relays



Welcome!

Deming High School will host the 2024 edition of the Therman Jordan Relays on Saturday, April 13, 2024.

Each Track and/or Field event will start according to the schedule provided. This Track competition is a NMAA State Qualifying Track Meet for Varsity Boys and Girls Teams only.


NMAA and National Federation Rules
apply to this competition; therefore, all athletes will comply with these rules.


Entries:
All entries are due on Mile Split, by Thursday, April 11, 2024, by 10 pm MT.


Please Note:
Late entries and Substitutions are not permitted. Only Scratches can be made at the Coaches Meeting.


Entry Format:
Three (3) Varsity entries per event, per team; with One (1) Relay per event, per team. Field Events will have three attempts only, with Top 7 to Finals for three (3) additional attempts. There will be No Scratch Lines.


Starting Heights:
High Jump: Men: 5-00 and Women: 4-00. Pole Vault: Men: 8-00 and Women: 5-6.


Please Note:
A contestant may enter a maximum of 5 events. No more than four events may be track events or no more than four can be field events. No more of the four (4) running events can be 800m or longer.


Scoring Points Format:
Individual events: 7-5-4-3-2-1; Relays: 10-8-6-4-2-1.


Awards:
Medals will be awarded to Top 3 Varsity contestants in each event.
Additional Information:


Coaches Meeting
will be held in the Film Room located at Southwest Corner of Stadium (next to trainers) at 8:30 am. This is where the hospitality room will be, too.



Where a conflict of events occurs with the entries of an athlete, running events take precedence over field events. Every reasonable effort, including taking jumps/throws out of order will be made to allow athletes to participate in multiple events due to the size of our facility. Nevertheless, Track events will start on time.


Reminder:
NMAA now requires Coaches to register their own team State Qualifiers.


For the safety of everyone
Do Not Jump the Fence in Front of the Stands! Access to the Track, its Infield and grass areas of Discus, Javelin and Shot Put, competition are open only to Officials, Coaches and Athletes. Team(s) involved in infractions will be warned, and disqualification(s) can result.


Tents
are only allowed in the Top Tier of the West and East Bleachers. Teams are required to keep their Team Camp areas clean, Thank you.
