Artesia Bulldog Relays

Dear Coaches:
We would like to take this opportunity to welcome you to the 2023 Bulldog Relays.
This year the Bulldog Relays will be held on Thursday, March 16. Field events will start at 3:30 PM, the running will start with the 3200 at 4:30 followed by the 4x800 relay, and then the 4x100 starting at 5:30. The entries for each team will be four per individual events and two relays.
Please have your athletes obtain and have the hip number for timing on the correct hip (Track tops tucked in, so the hip number is not covered) for all running events. This means the right hip for all southern timed races and the left hip if we choose to run north in the event of weather. I am trying to time all events running south, but we will adjust if the weather is crazy. For those of you who have to time events with FAT you know this burden. Hip numbers will be obtained up at the practice field under the check in tent. Athletes are responsible for picking these up prior to their event. Warmups will be done on the practice field up behind the press box for ALL athletes. We will not have any athletes on the field, only coaches and track workers will be allowed on the field during the meet. It will run like the state meet where a worker will walk the heats down to the track and there the start clerk will verify lanes for each runner. Morris field will run as usual for throwing events.
All entries will be through MileSplit. The meet will be under Bulldog Relays. Entries will be open until 9pm Wednesday, March 15 to complete your entries.
Both the scratch meeting and the coaches meal will be held in the press box, with the scratch meeting 1 hour prior to events starting. We will make an announcement once the coaches meal has arrived. We will be using the South Suite on the first floor of the press box during the meet. If you have any questions, please contact Mandi Lewallen by cell at 575-308-6336.
Please do not make team camps on the southwest lower side of the stadium seating as this impedes our timing system.
