Meet Information
Teams will need to provide workers for the following field events-
Shot Put
Long Jump
Pole Vault/High Jump/Triple Jump
Discus
Scoring: Relays = 6-4-2
Individual Events = 6-4-3-2-1
Individual Events = 6-4-3-2-1
Scratch Meeting: 3:00 pm in the press box.
Running Events: 8 entries for all races.
One relay team per school per division.
All races will be run as finals. Starting blocks will be provided.
Throwing Events: 8 entries for all throwing events. Each contestant will be given 3 throws.
Long/Triple Jump: 8 entries for these events. Each contestant will be given 3 jumps.
High Jump: 8 entries for this event. Starting height for the girls will be 3 6, and 4 2 for the boys.
Pole Vault: 8 entries for this event. Starting height will be 6 0for boys and 50 for girls. COACHES MUST HAVE THEIR
VAULTERS WEIGHT VERIFIED AND ALL POLES MUST BE MARKED.
Spike length: 1/4 may be used.
Awards: Ribbons for 1st through 5th place will be awarded
Miscellaneous: Athletes are to warm-up behind the flags on the field. No lounging, please. A concession stand will be available. Picking up and placing trash in the appropriate containers will be appreciated.
Coaches: New Mexico High School and National Federation rules for track and field will apply. Coaches are welcome on the field during the meet, but please do not interfere with the meet officials. We will have a games committee, should a problem arise.
