Crystal Ball Gazing: 5A Girls

Breaking down the prospects for New Mexico Track and Field 2012

A quick glance at the 5A girls rankings for returning athletes reveals that La Cueva and Cleveland High Schools have a clear upper hand in terms of performances by returning athletes. Several other teams have hopes to be in the running by putting together strong relays and perhaps bringing up a new athlete or up.

As with the other previews in this series, these rankings are built off of incomplete results from last season and show only those athletes for which we have years of graduation. Relays are not included in this analysis due to the difficulty in projecting from one year to the next how a particular team's relays will be assembled and perform.
