Of the classifications looked at thus far, Estancia in 2A girls looks like the biggest preseason favorite of all. Having three girls with legitimate chances at winning one or more individual state titles always helps the outlook.
Of course, all the usual disclaimers apply. The scoring on this simulation is not the same as the scoring at the state meet. Relays don't count for this simulation, and we all know that relays figure big in the scoring at the New Mexico State meet. Also, much can change for any school with a highly-talented incoming freshman (or 8th grader) or two.
But, what follows should help to get the competitive juices flowing in 2A. Let's see what it looks like at the end of the year.
