Kiara Romero (Grants) ran 12:22.98 in the 3200 meters at the Aztec Invitational on April 24, improving from her previous best of 13:39.59 set in April 2026. The freshman finished 2nd of 10 competitors and ranks #27 in the state and #6 among freshmen.
Noah Ortiz (Mesa Vista, Ojo Caliente) clocked 2:08.19 in the 800 meters at the Taos Tiger Invite on April 21, dropping from his previous PR of 2:20.08. The sophomore placed 5th of 23 competitors and ranks #115 in New Mexico.
Sam Armijo (St. Michael's, Santa Fe) ran 4:46.27 in the 1600 meters at the Taos Tiger Invite on April 21, improving from 5:07.54. The freshman finished 6th of 18 competitors and ranks #74 in the state and #2 among freshmen.
Jocelyn Perez (Centennial, Las Cruces) cleared 5-2 in the high jump at the Bob Sepulveda Invitational on April 24, improving from 4-10. The senior won the event among 11 competitors, set a school record, and ranks #7 in the state and #3 among seniors.
Addison Rhoads (Gateway Christian, Roswell) ran 12.72 in the 100 meters at the Roswell City Meet on April 24, improving from 13.11 set in April 2026. The sophomore finished 2nd of 29 competitors, set a school record, and ranks #29 in New Mexico. Rhoads also ran a PR of 26.49 in the 200 meters, improving from 27.06.
Stephen Castellanos (Chaparral) ran 51.21 in the 400 meters at the Bob Sepulveda Invitational on April 24, improving from 54.18. The freshman placed 5th of 22 competitors and ranks #32 in the state and #1 among freshmen.
Francisco Cook (Atrisco Heritage Academy, Albuquerque) ran 15.95 in the 110-meter hurdles at the Richard Harper Invite on April 24, improving from 17.17. The junior finished 5th of 31 competitors and ranks #23 in the state and #4 among juniors.
