This Week's Nominees:
Adrian Mora, Hobbs High School (New Mexico): Won the high jump at the Clovis Wildcat Relays with a new PR of 6-10, breaking his previous best of 6-8 set at the TR1BE Relays. Also placed second in the 200 meters with a time of 22.61.
Tagoya Pedro, Laguna-Acoma High School (New Mexico): Clocked a winning time of 1:53.56 in the 800 meters at the Marilyn Sepulveda Meet of Champions, breaking his PR of 1:54.79 set at the same meet.
Jhett Kinghorn, La Cueva High School (New Mexico): Posted a 200-meter PR of 21.57 at the Marilyn Sepulveda Meet of Champions, improving from 21.60 and beating state-ranked Hershul Olloway. Also ran 10.76 in the 100 meters at the APS FM Wilson Boys Invitational and cleared 14-0 in the pole vault for another first-place finish.
Amin Cooper, Albuquerque High School (New Mexico): Ran a 400-meter PR of 48.36 to win at the Marilyn Sepulveda Meet of Champions, breaking his previous best of 48.64. Added a second-place finish in the 100 meters with a time of 10.76.
Hershul Olloway, St. Pius X High School (New Mexico): The top junior in New Mexico turned in a winning 100-meter time of 10.68 at the Marilyn Sepulveda Meet of Champions, beating state-ranked Amin Cooper. Set a new PR in the 200 meters with 21.76, improving from 22.07.
