Davis competed against individuals from North Carolina to Arizona at the meet. In the boy's elite 100 event Davis finished seventh out of seven runners in 10.72. Following the 100 Davis finished sixth out of seven athletes in the 200 in 22.64, with athlete No. 7 not finishing the event.
Davis had the fifth fastest time coming into the boy's 100 event. Davis was entered with a seed time of 10.53. Davis ran the seed time at the State Championships on May 7 where the Viking sealed the win in the 4A Boy's 100.
Along with a win in the 100 at the State Championships Davis finished first in the 200 with a time of 21.27. Davis' 200 time seeded him sixth in the Classic 200.
