RIO RANCHO, NEW MEXICO- Thanks to our database, we were able to calculate the New Mexico female cross country runners who made the biggest jump from 2024 to 2025.
Four female runners cut their PR's down at least two minutes, and making the most improvement was Rio Grande sophomore Julianna Castillo who is slowly becoming one of the top runners in the state. This year, Castillo posted a time of 18:34.0 which is two and a half minutes faster than her 2024 mark.
Another notable name is Moriarty's Carmen Dorsey-Spitz who improved on her 2024 PR by a minute and a half. Dorsey-Spitz ran a 16:47.1 time, and has ascended into one of the best runners in the nation.
