This week of the 2025 cross country season produced some amazing performances for New Mexico's athletes. Let's go over our top performers from this weekend and vote on New Mexico's best performances.
CANDIDATES
Carmen Dorsey-Spitz (Moriarty HS)- Was the fastest runner at the 2025 NMAA State XC Championships across all merged divisions. The junior clocked a 16:57.90 over the 5K distance and secured her first state cross country title. She was one of three Moriarty HS athletes to compete in the NMAA 4A division race.
Gianna Rahmer (El Segundo HS)- Rahmer clocked a 17:02.20 in the NMAA 5A division race and placed first. The sophomore was the top underclassman performer at the 2025 NMAA State XC Championships and was the frontrunner for her school in their division race. El Dorado HS would go on to collect a team title in the NMAA 5A race.
Elisabeth McNiff (Los Alamos HS)- The fastest freshman at the 2025 NMAA State XC Championships, McNiff managed to put herself amongst the Top 10 individuals in the NMAA 4A division race. She contributed to her school's team win in the NMAA 4A race by clocking a 19:08.20 and placing 6th in her race. She was her school's #2 scorer at the meet.
