          For the first time in a while, there were no changes at the top of the national girl's leaderboard. 

          Despite a lot of competitive meets and the initial races of the 2024 postseason, no one cracked the top five on the penultimate weekend of October.

          Sadie Engelhardt, the Ventura (Calif.) superstar ran 16:24.2 at the ASICS Clovis XC Invitationalahead of Santiago Corona's (Calif.) Rylee Blade who clocked 16:31.6. Both Californians sit No. 1 and No. 2 at the top of the national rankings, with Lakeridge's (Ore.) Chloe Huyler staying put at No. 3. The Notre Dame-bound senior ran 16:32.08 earlier this month, a lifetime best. 

          Boerne Champion's (Texas) Elizabeth Leachman and Topeka-Seaman's (Kan.) Ryin Miller round out the top five in 16:32.5 and 16:32.6, respectively.
