For the first time since August, there is a new face at the top of the U.S. leaderboard, and it's Ventura's (Calif.) mid-distance phenom Sadie Engelhardt.

Following her record-breaking win at the ASICS Clovis Invitational, the California star sits alone at the top of the national rankings after clocking a lifetime best of 16:24.2. The NC State-bound senior is the only girl to run sub-16:30 this year.

Fellow Californian Rylee Blade finished runner-up to Engelhardt at Woodward Park, running a 14-second lifetime best to become the No. 2 fastest girl this fall.

Lakeridge (Ore.) senior Chloe Huyler won comfortably at the 4th Annual Rose City Championship Invite, breaking the tape in 16:32.08, a seven-second improvement on her previous best.
