New Mexico Future Stars: Grace Erinle

In this week's edition of New Mexico Future Stars, we'll be looking at recent standout freshmen performances. 

New Mexico, meet Grace Erinle!

The freshman from ABQ Academy most recently won the 200 at the APS Metro Championship in a blazing 25.46. She also ran the 100, clocking 12.51 for a second place finish at the same meet. 

At last year's State Championship, Erinle placed runner-up in both the 100 and 200 as just an eighth grader. 

As of currently, she is leading the NM freshmen class in both these events, while sitting at top-10 marks across all-classifications.

Kendin Mangrum - Organ Mountain - He ran a class-leading 100 time of 11.07 at the Therman Jordan Relays to place third.

Maya Graves - Los Alamos - She ran a class-leading time in the 100 hurdles of 16.26 at the Larry Baca Memorial Invitational. She is also leading the freshmen class in the 300 hurdles with 48.20.
