In the girl's team race ABQ Academy took the crown!
While the 4A state champs inched by with a tight team victory Saturday, in combining all races in this PowerMerge they took a 19-point victory, tallying 61 points.
4A runner-up Los Alamos was second with 80 points. Coming in third was 5A state champions Rio Rancho, who were two points ahead of La Cueva, 126-128.
Individually no surprise here - eighth-grade phenom Gianna Rahmer had the fastest time of the day by well over a minute - a 16:58 course record.
The Rio Rancho boys dominated the 5A race, and they dominate this PowerMerge as well. They tallied a staggering 38-points to take the cake.
Volcano Vista took second here, tallying 82 points, while Sue Cleveland was third with 162.
