New Mexico Future Stars: Chloe Grieco

In this week's edition of New Mexico Future Stars, we'll be looking at a recent eighth-grade performance, and look at recent freshmen performances.

New Mexico, meet Chloe Grieco!

The St. Michael's eighth-grader most recently placed seventh at the Desert Twilight XC Invite in Arizona, clocking 18:00.30. She was the top freshman to cross the line.

Add that Greico's 5k PR prior to this race was 19:28.30

A week after her Deswet Twilight performance she picked up a big win at the John Grimley Invitational, running 19:16.

Her time is currently leading the freshmen class by well over a minute. Not only that, but she's No. 1 in the entire state of New Mexico by over thirty seconds as well.

Last spring, she ran eighth-grade PRs of 5:13.97 in the 1,500 meter as well as 10:49.68 in the 3,000 meter.

Greico will be someone to keep your eyes on as a top contender for the 2023 6A Championship.
