Yvonne Stinson could be the next 100m/200m champion of 5A girls as she comes off a runner-up performance in 2021 and holds one of the top two marks in the 200m. Sima Lucero has proven she was practically unstoppable in her sprinting duties last season but choose not to line up in this event but has the ability to challenge in this race. Nyla Lee got the better of teammate Holly Sanchez in their second go around at the state meet as Lee hold a personal best of 26.02 to Sanchez's 26.38.
